So, that’s why it’s taken me so long to edit these and blog them.

Kenya and Brad are a wonderful couple.  They had “a spring wedding in the middle of winter” but I loved it.

Without any further ado…here are some sneak peaks into Brad and Kenya’s big day!

But one thing I always want to grow in and progress in is my photography.  I’ve come up with a way for you guys to help me help you.

Let me explain:

I’m making a list of things I want to photograph.  If you (or anyone you know) are going to be a part of one of the following goals of mine, let me know!  I’m offering 10%-25% off these weddings and sessions in order to complete my goals.

Sorry I’m 4 days late.
But, hey, better late than never, right?

I’m here to share my 2013 goals.  I think this will be a wonderful year.  I get to marry my best friend.  I graduate college, which means that I can finally focus full time on photography.  And I feel more creative and motivated in a long time, which definitely can’t hurt.

I made a list of 35+ goals for the new year, but I’ll only share some main ones with you guys.

+ I want to (re)start and finish c25k.
+ I want to do a 52 week photo challenge that requires me to get creative and out of my comfort zone.
+ I want to keep track of loved ones’ birthdays and send cards/gifts when appropriate.
+ I want to read (or re-read) 20 books.
+  I want to try 52 new things.
+ I want to figure out a system for my business that works and makes sense.
+ I want to shoot more film.
+ I want to cook 3 times a week (minimum).
+ I want to learn a new word a week and incorporate it into my vocabulary.
+ I want to go explore and have new adventures.
+ I want to learn more jokes.
+ I want to get toned.
+ I want to (try to) be more social.
+ I want to have a larger online presence (outside of facebook and twitter).

Ethan and I also made goals for each other as a couple and a few goals we want to see each other accomplish.
His for me was to do 4 creative things without putting them online (though I may have to eventually ;)); just to do something creative for me.
I really like that.  And I really like him.

A few of our “couple” goals are:

+ To support local artists/events/restaurants more often.
+ To make a budget and stick with it.
+ To cook dinner once a week together.
+ To have more “different” dates (other than going out to eat and dinner).
+ To get ALL wedding things done by May 1 (which is exactly a month before our big day).

Here we go, 15 random facts about me.

 1. I have unhealthy obsession with A1 sauce.  I’ll eat it on nearly everything.

2. I’m a senior in college, majoring in English.  I hope I’ll never have to use my degree.

3. I’ve been to 17 countries; The US (duh), Honduras, Belize, Mexico, Guatemala, England, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, and Scotland.  My dream in life is to travel to a country for every year I’m alive.  I’m 4 countries behind, right now.  Need to catch up. ;)

4. In my junior and senior years of high school, I went to the state speech competition with 2 and 3 events respectively and placed in Humorous Interpretation and Humorous Duet both years.  Part of me thinks I could move to NYC and get an agent and act.

5. I used to thrift almost religiously.  We’re talking 2-4 times a week.  I gathered so much stuff.  Now, I generally limit myself to about once or twice a month.  In fact… I may go today.

6. I will forever love Harry Potter.  I’m currently re-reading the books.  I’m on Prisoner of Azkaban right now.

7. I don’t like coffee.  The exception: Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

8. I’ve seen too many live bands to count.  Some favorite shows: Bon Iver, Band of Horses, Ben Howard, The Civil Wars, Arcade Fire, Manchester Orchestra, Fleet Foxes, The Avett Brothers.

9. I really hope that moving to Austin, TX is in the nearish future for Ethan and me.  We love OKC…but we’re so hyped on Austin.

10. I love to cook.  And to eat.  If I wasn’t so busy all the time, I’d cook every single day, multiple times a day.

11. My favorite movie is Matilda.  I’ve seen it a thousand times, probably.

12. I’m a huge poetry buff.  I love reading it.  I love writing it.  I love studying it.  My favorite poets: Walt Whitman, WS Merwin, Andrea Gibson, and, even though he was a facist and supported Hitler, Ezra Pound.

13. I don’t have a favorite color, because they change with my mood and with seasons.  If people usually ask, I’ll say “yellow.”

14. I drink a LOT of tea; bubble tea, hot tea, chai tea, iced tea, green tea.

15. I’m constantly reminded about how blessed I am, though I don’t give thanks nearly enough.

I’m doing a photographic series, simply called “Color.”

I’m planning on having a model for each color.
My hope is to have two shots for: white, yellow, red, black, blue, green, gold, brown, and gray.  There may be a few more additions, but these are the ones I have planned out.

I did the first installment yesterday.  I covered myself in white paint (yup…I’m a weirdo) and here’s the end result.
