Sloane and Matt’s wedding was my first of 2015. It was a great one to start on. I’m so excited they picked me out of all the OKC wedding photographers. What an honor. They decided on the Magnolia Room as their venue–it was important to them to stay near 9th street in downtown OKC because that’s where a lot of their love story takes place. This wedding was so personal to them. A ton of DIY and local elements. Their wedding made me get to know them more as people, which is really cool. Some of my favorite wedding elements (and things in general) were involved in the day: a flower crown a lots of fresh blooms, cactus and succulents, vintage pieces, PIZZA, COFFEE, great music, a ton of enthusiastic dancing (Matt’s quite the dancer), a super color scheme, goldfish crackers, giant tic-tac-toe, great fashion (I drooled over Sloane’s dress–not literally though), twinkle lights, natural light, some wonderful bride and groom photos, a lot of laughter, hugs, and love, and one of my favorite sparkler exits ever.
These two are cool. Now they’re off living their lives together in San Francisco doing more cool things. Congratulations, Sloane and Matt!
Image heavy because I loved this wedding. Big thanks to my second shooter, Colleen of Colleen Merchant Photography, for all the help. You rule, girl.
PS: Matt just did the pose above. It was all him. I have never asked anyone to perform such a task, but I might start because it’s kind of great.
