A few other bonuses that come with hiring me: I am extremely laid back and will make your wedding day feel as comfortable as possible.   I won’t push you into poses that feel un-natural.   You will also receive complementary jokes, veil + dress holding, happy tears while looking through your gallery, and a friend if you want one.

WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

Good question!  My shooting style is heavily photojournalistic, meaning I want to tell the story of your day as it unfolds.  It is modern, honest, and thoughtfully-made with you always in mind.  I try to keep my editing clean and timeless (I want you to love your photos in 2 years and also in 52 years), so you’ll look like you and feel like you.  I’m drawn to symmetry, negative space, composition, and light.  My hope is to narrate your day with visuals but also create some art you’ll be proud to show off in your home.  Clean, bold, fresh, genuine, a little whimsical, while remaining timeless at its core.

ARE YOU LGTBQ+ FRIENDLY?

I am just trying to be a loving, decent human being.  So, YES, duh.

WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

While 70% of my business is photographing weddings and elopements, I also offer engagement sessions, bridal sessions, boudoir sessions, anniversary sessions, honeymoon photography, and day-after sessions.
For those not getting married, I can provide you with kickass lifestyle photography, portrait sessions, editorial and branding content, and also travel and food photography.

Though I love photographing, I also love all things that push me creatively. I also offer small floral design collections, large and small event styling and design, and creative consulting for small businesses, spaces, and parties.

CAN WE BE BEST FRIENDS?

If you love animals, The Office, Tex-Mex, hip-hop, or iced coffee, the answer is definitely “yes”.  If you don’t love any of these things, that’s okay. I’ll still be your friend.  We’ll just have to work harder at finding things to talk about.

HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?

Email me through the contact form.  I will respond within 48 hours.  We’ll chat, make sure we’re a good fit, and then will get the ball rolling.  To book your date, I kindly ask for a $1000 retainer, and a signed contract.  Payment plans can be set up with the final balance due 30 days before your wedding.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU TAKE ON EACH YEAR?

I do my best to make sure I give my best to every client I get to work with.
That means limiting how much I work to make sure I’m as inspired as possible.
It also means being a little more selective with who I choose to work with. If I’m not inspired, the photos will show, and none of us want that.  With that in mind, I always aim to work with couples who have similar ideals, interests, and visions.  I want to work with people I click with.  That way, everyone is happy.
I currently take on 20-25 weddings every year, maxing out at 2-3 a month.
I book up to 2 sessions a week, only scheduled on week days.

WHAT TYPE OF PEOPLE DO YOU LIKE TO WORK WITH?

My favorite type of people to work with are easy-going, artistic/creative (or have an appreciation for art even if they don’t have a creative bone in their body), passionate, in-love, and funny.  I want you to be relaxed.  I want you to crack jokes.  I want you to let go.
My people are non-traditional, a little quirky, badass, and free-spirited.
They’re the dreamers, the artists, the homebodies, and the brave.
I love to work with anyone who values and appreciates my craft.

WHAT IF I AM AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?

Girl.  Not everyone is comfy in front of the camera.  That’s okay.  I aim to make you feel relaxed, like a badass rockstar, and like the most beautiful human to walk this earth.  I will direct when I see fit, but I want you to show off who you are fully.  We’ll start slow and will ease into it.  Friendly reminder that I’ve literally seen nearly half a thousand people make out in front of me.  You know when you’re going to the doctor and are worried about them seeing a part of your body that you’re not super stoked about, but then you realize they see these things multiple times every day?  It’s like that.  I’m nonjudgmental, really want to show off who you are, and will do everything in my power that you have a fun time during your wedding or session.

PS: Not to brag or anything, but one of the compliments I receive the most is how much fun and how easy being in front of the camera is from couples.  Yeah…you’ll be okay.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?

This depends on how many hours you’ll want me, how many people are in 
your wedding party, how many details you’ll have, the timeline of your day, etc.
However, most couples can count on 100-150 engagement photos from me and roughly 500-800 wedding photos from me.  Most clients can expect 60-80 per hour of shooting.

CAN I GIVE YOU A SHOT LIST FROM PINTEREST?

I love you, but no.
It stifles my creativity.  It also prohibits me from being fully present on your wedding day, capturing those moments that tend to go missed.  If I’m checking off little boxes from a list of “must-have” shots, it takes a lot of the magic away from the genuine emotion and memories you’re creating on your wedding day.
With all this said: I photograph A LOT.  I’ll make sure to get all the details that make you who you are, all the friends, all the family.  If there are *specifics* you want photographed (like your great aunt Suzanne who flew in from Zimbabwe), please let me know and we’ll make sure we get those shots.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

I live in Oklahoma City, but also book weddings frequently in Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, California, and NYC.  I will travel anywhere in the world for a good a story. If you’re planning a wedding or elopement abroad, get in touch!  I offer discounted collections for all travel weddings.

HONEYMOON PHOTOGRAPHY?  TELL ME MORE.

Why stop at having beautiful photos of your wedding day?  I’d be freakin’ delighted to join you two on your honeymoon (promise I won’t be a third wheel the whole time and will leave you alone outside of our time together).  Imagine beautiful photos on the beach, adventures of you two traipsing the mountains, or getting lost in a big city.  Photos to document the beginning of the rest of your lives-post-wedding.  I’ll photograph you two drinking wine, paddle-boarding, climbing rocks, cuddling in your sweet hotel, or exploring together.

I don’t need to stay the whole time, but having a photographer for a day on your honeymoon to guarantee having stunning photos sounds like a cool idea, right?
